The description and classification of contract is not only wide and ambiguous but it’s also an imprecise one. This position has attracted different definition and classification from various legal writers like Treitel, Cheshire and Fifoot, etc. Each writer, having his own philosophy which reflected his meaning and classification and which tended to be of more academic exercise. However, in view of the inherent extreme and complexity of classifying contract as illegal and void, the following simple but not infallible classification by Sagay would be adopted here.
